There have been signs for quite a while that Social Security was going to collapse. Predicting social unrest is like predicting "you will eat lunch today" - it's more than likely going to happen. And he left it entirely open-ended too. He set no date so that when these things didn't happen within the allotted time frame nobody could tell him he's a fraud.
