Dreams and Visions Concerning America?
Do you believe that sometimes God gives people dreams and visions about the future?
Consider the following prophecies below written by the Christian Prophet Jonathan Hansen. Notice that he wrote these prophecies from the year 1997 when there were seemingly no signs of real trouble in America.

Jonathan Hansen
Warning for 1998 - 2008
Note: 1998-2008 is not a time frame deadline for all to be fulfilled, but is the time to heavily focus on sharing the WARNING message for America.
During 1998 Pastor Hansen spoke in 40 cities in 30 states about the condition and future of America. The following was in an advertisement in The Seattle Times on December 26, 1997 regarding the United States of America.
*Stock Market Collapse
*Nuclear Attack
*Civil Unrest
*Social Security Collapse
*Natural disasters; tornadoes; tidal waves; the sea dying; 20 lb. hail stones; water poisoning; food shortages; red tides*
*Powerful Northwest Earthquake (Newly Discovered Earthquake Zone in Seattle Area 2003) (Pacific Northwest Tectonic Plates Are Moving) (FEB 2008 Mega EQ could inflict major damage on Pacific NW) (APRIL 11, 2008 Swarm of Earthquakes Detected Off Oregon) (MARCH 4, 2008 Seattle Emergency management officials prepare for catastrophic EQ)
On television Reverend Hansen warned concerning what was coming upon America and why. He read the Seattle Times advertisement then added the following items:
* The 520 bridge will collapse (This is a 1-mile long floating bridge across Lake Washington from Seattle to Bellevue and Redmond where Microsoft and Nintendo America are located).
* Mt. Rainier will erupt
On several radio stations Rev. Hansen warned concerning what was coming upon America:
* Nuclear, biological and chemical terrorism in different cities throughout America as well as several attacks. New York, Chicago, New Orleans, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles and Florida. In remote areas there will be biological, chemical and nuclear experimentation. In the Pacific Northwest and Casper, Wyoming there will be a nuclear incident. There will also be chemical, biological, nuclear terrorism, and/or attack on the U.S. throughout the United States.
* In the Northwest, volcanic activity will occur.
* Earthquakes across America.
To avoid the above, there must be a mighty, genuine revival (repentance) as in Nineveh (Jonah 3:5-10). Or, a powerful spirit of prayer must arise that will result in the mercy and grace of God as Abraham interceded for Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 18:23-33). There is hope! If we meet the conditions of God (II Chronicles 7:14), he will hear our call, forgive us and heal the land! If we do not meet the conditions, judgment will fall and all of the prophecies will come to pass.
Ladies and Gentlemen, we the Church and people in America need to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in reality and practicality to avoid these events warned by the Lord from coming to pass. It is our sins that allow our enemies to hurt us.
God bless America, and may America look to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

Dina. His prophecies were written from 1997 when the U.S economy was quite fine. So I don't understand what you are saying?
Well Peter D said most of what I was going to say and more. I will only add that these so called predictions have been made since I have been alive Back in the 1960’s self declared prophets predicted stock market collapse, civil unrest yadda, yadda, yadda.
If you get back issues of the watch tower magazine from the 1960’s 1970’s and 1980’s you see the exact same predictions in fact the way it wa sworded I think he may have borrowed this from the JW’s. Garner Ted Armstrong before he died said the exact same things but 20 years a before your guy actually about 30 years and his dad before him did same before that.
Peter D is right this is not a question and should have been in R&S not here. I was born in 1952 and lived through the cold war and we had bomb drills in school and went to churches who claimed to be prophetic churches so I have heard it all way before you were born.

Let’s see. He makes 8 predictions (well, really 7, anyone with any economics at all knows that unless something is changed, the Social Security system *will* collapse so it is no prediction) and only one has come partially true (we are having severe stock market problems, but I personally wouldn’t call it a ‘collapse’. To me, a ‘collapse’ implies not just a loss of money, but a fundamental destruction of the stock market).
Oh, and the natural disasters prediction? Unless he was predicting each of those events specifically, it isn’t a prediction either, as everyone knows we will have a certain number of natural disasters in any given year.
So far, I’m not impressed.
And saying that there isn’t a time frame for them to come true is classic confirmation bias. Anything that has happened is proof, anything that hasn’t happened “hasn’t happened *yet*”.

Of which I haven’t seen yet. 20 lb hailstones? Mt. Rainier erupting? Only logic has shown itself in his Prophecies. Anyone could have predicted that. I’m a Christian and I believe only what my eyes tell me. or my mind perceives.

I was given a message from the Governor of Dimensions in 1995.
Would I be negligent in keeping it to myself? or Would I be a looney tune for telling everyone?
I wrote Obama and McCain and told them what to do.
I don’t expect a following or anything more than a laugh.
Somethings we should just keep to ourselves.
When the time comes, what will be , will be.
If I told you I knew the future, would you believe me?
why do you believe in this guesser.

Take life as it comes to you. People are too obsessed with destruction. A life spent worrying about horrible things happening isn’t a life at all.

This isn’t a question. This is preaching. As such, if it belongs anywhere it belongs in R&S. I’ll answer anyway.
Congratulations, you’ve fallen for a crackpot. You are offering support and advertisement for a charlatan. In other words, by actively spreading fraud and untruth, you are making the world a worse place.
Hansen made what predictions *exactly*?
+Stock Market collapse - First of all, it hasn’t collapsed. Second, historically the market has worked in cycles of growth and recession. I predict that something which has always occurred will occur again is not prophetic, it’s banking on a likelihood. Strike one.
+Nuclear Attack - This hasn’t happened. So, strike two.
+Civil Unrest - This is always happening somewhere. It has not happened in the US to any great degree. Strike three. First out.
+Social Security Collapse - SS has not collapsed. The problem with SS has been known for decades. Nothing new here folks. Strike one.
+Natural Disasters - Earthquake, flood, tornado, hurricane, drought, tsunami, etc. have always happened and always will happen. You are not a prophet if you predict something that you know will occur. Strike two.
+Earthquake in the NW - This is not a prediction, it’s advertising. By using scare tactics, this guy is trying to drum up ticket sales. I bet he advertised impending earthquakes in every market he visited. In other words, he’s a con man. Strike three. Second out.
+520 Bridge - It didn’t collapse did it? More scare tactics. Strike one.
+Mt Ranier - It didn’t erupt did it? Even more scare tactics. Strike two.
+WMD Attacks - These didn’t happen either did they? Ummm, scare tactics? Strike three. Third and final out.
“To avoid the above, there must be a mighty, genuine revival”
–Oh, like the old-time tent revivals? You know, where the out of town preacher comes in and puts on a show for the locals. Where he fleeces them of every penny he can get?
“Abraham interceded for Sodom and Gomorrah”
–Abraham interceded for S&G, but the angels never bothered looking for 10 righteous people, so S&G were destroyed anyway.
“If we do not meet the conditions, judgment will fall and all of the prophecies will come to pass.”
–So, you’re holding the country hostage? A little spiritual blackmail? Repent and give us your money, or else all the disasters will come to pass? That isn’t very Christian of you. You should be ashamed of yourself.
The fact is whatever will happen will happen. You are willing to take credit for whatever it is that fills your coffers. I wish people like you would be run you out like Jesus did with the money changers.

That's a ten year window for those predictions to fall into. I am psychic but even I think that's too broad a range.
Also, what does he mean by 'we' when he's talking about meeting the conditions of God?
Does he mean only Christians can save America from perishing?
What about all the other religions practiced in the US?
In my opinion, when one makes a psychic prediction about the state of the world, they should be a bit more specific. We have been having natural disasters for forever, some years are worse than others and when you add global warming to it, of course things are going to get weird with our weather.
What I find interesting, is this Christian man is making psychic predictions which I thought was totally against the rules.
Sorry…I don't think I answered your question because I got all worked up, lol.
Yes, I do think that sometimes people get dreams and visions concerning America.
I think that the real ones are more all encompassing and include a more realistic viewpoint of who inhabits our country and the scenarios predicted are more precise.
In this guys prophecy, I only see Christians having any importance to the whole thing…that says to me that personal opinion is mixed in with what may or may not be an accurate psychic prediction.

YEs God does give vision of the future to people. Many of the stories in the Bible involve visions of the future (Noah’s ark for one). As for if this guy is receiving visions, I can’t really say since this is the first time I am hearing about him. I will research more about him before I can judge, but it may be possible.

..or he could be a crackpot. There have been all kinds of so called preachers of God since the begining of America predicting the downfall of America is at hand.
The closest guy that has made accurate prophecies regarding America that I know is Kim Clement (even then I’m not so sure but I keep an open mind), but the guy has accurately predicted 9-11, the New Orleans flood disaster, the current market crash, within the specified dates, not some 10 year window like that guy. Kim doesn’t even predict that America will fall or God will judge America. He takes the view that God is merciful and and that there are much worse countries that America. So he has good balance of outlook not like that kook you mentioned who is all doom.
