remote mt

I purchased a remote control package on clearance with the hopes that I can plug in the USB receiver on mt PC and use the remote to control the music I gave saved on my hard drive. Will I be able to use it on my Dell C610 laptop. My laptop has the USB 2.0 upgrade, Pentium III with Win XP Professional. If I can’t use it can someone steer me to info for getting a remote that will work? Thanks!!!

No, because the buttons are designed to be used on the PS3.
